Growing profusely in the middle hills of Nepal at altitudes of 3900 feet to 10000 feet, allo fibre from the Giant Himalayan Nettle (Girardiniadiversifolia) has been used for centuries for clothing and around the home and farm. An amazing natural fibre, it is lightweight and cool in the summer but also warm in the winter. Allo is highly durable and becomes increasingly soft and pliable with wash and use. Our sustainable allo products are produced completely by hand. The material is renewable and biodegradable so is a sustainable choice.
